Season practices occur Saturday afternoons March 23- June 1 in preparation for the Challenge Games hosted in Derby, Kansas on May, 18 2019. Additionally, Wichita Adaptive Sports provides scholarships to those on the track team to travel to Edmond, OK to compete with youth and adults from across the United States at the UCO Endeavor games held June 6-9, 2019.
Track is coached by Paralympian, Liz Willis, and is well supported at practices with fellow long jump Paralympian Chris Clemmons as well as individuals well versed in coaching wheelchair athletes both in the field and on the track. We also have opportunities available for both high school and college coaches to volunteer a Saturday morning to share field coaching expertise and techniques with our adaptive youth.
