13th Annual Adaptive Cycling Omnium

Wichita Adaptive Sports invites you to participate in our 3 race Weekend! Although this is a Disabled Military / Veteran Focused Event, it is open to all Para-cycling participants, classifications & recumbent foot trikes. Categories will be established and grouped based on number of entrants. Three days of racing, hospitality & Fun June 14, 2019 through June 16, 2019. Please review the following information regarding the race weekend and contact us if you have any questions.

Codes expire on 5/21/19 which is also cut off dates for discounted hotel rate.

You do not need to participate or complete every race. However to receive points for a race you must complete it. Points are based on number of finishers. TT is the tie breaker. Must be registered for “Omnium” to be eligible for Awards.

Friday June14: 
Registration must be completed online. Registration must be completed on paper at the event. Racer waiver license signing, and packet pick up is 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Annual and One day license available. Located in the Convenience Store next to Kechi Park.
Racer Meeting: Friday 6:00PM at the Crit staging area Kechi Park.
Kechi 15k Time Trial June 14, 6:30 PM: Located in Kechi, KS ( 444 N Oliver St, #B, Kechi, KS 67067). Parking is next to the Convenience store at Kechi Park. Start times are 30 sec apart. Course is a fairly flat out and back route with a tight turn around at a 4 way stop. Generally racers find a tail wind going out and a head wind on return. See map a. (Not a closed course)
Atlanta 24 Mile Road Race: Saturday June 15, 9 AM: The start is at 419 S Main St, Atlanta, KS 67008 . The race follows the rolling hill terrain of the county roads in 6 mile stretches in a clockwise loop with a few very steep climbs in the last 6 miles and finishes at the start. See map B. (Not a closed course) Dinner/Social 5 to 7PM @ Hotel 
Lake Afton Criterium May 16, 10:00 AM, ( Start is just north of Shelter 1 on the west side of the course. Race will be 35 minutes. See map C. (Course is a technical closed .96 mile loop. There are several tight corners) Awards / cook out post race.

Entry Fee’s: *Omnium $155(for the 3 races below)
Individual Race Fee’s: Time Trial $55, Road Race $55, Crit $55

*Omnium includes 3 races with Fruit, Snacks & drinks transport of you and your Adaptive cycle from & to the airport and races if needed as well as access to mechanical support and volunteer assistance at/on the course), 2 meals. Meal 1 is a Dinner Social on Saturday evening with some giveaways. Meal 2 is post race Awards ceremony on Sunday.

Individuals will call for reservations at 877-206-0072 or 620-201-1400. When calling the hotel please request your group rate for “Adaptive Cycling”. Athletes share a room with another racer which cuts the cost in half. If you need help finding a roommate contact the Race Promoter.
Race nights are 6/14 & 6/15. Athletes wanting to arrive early can get the same rate for 6/13 & 6/16. Booking outside of the block dates may be at a different rate. A Credit Card must be presented by ALL athletes at check in. Even veterans for incidentals. If sharing a room you need to work that out between the two of you. If you have trouble finding a roommate and don’t want to pay the 2nd night, let the race Promoter know. He will keep a list of others wanting roommates. Last day to book: 5/21/19 at these rates. If you plan to stay outside the reserved rate days listed below you must call the hotel directly. Other date rates apply. These rooms are all large rooms with big doors on big bathrooms. Most racers are fine in regular rooms each year. ADA specific rooms are few and on 1st come 1st serve, so register early!

Dinners/Social: Racer and Staff Social Saturday evening 5 to 7PM at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Lobby & Patio. 
Awards: Will be "post race" on Sunday. Awards will be given at that time. Race Support: We will have a SAG available at the Road Race. (Not responsible for any damage or loss if asked to assist). Snacks & drinks are available to participants & volunteers. Those racers with heat issues please let us know if you need volunteers to pour water or spray you at each race by 6/10/19.
Race categories: Any Para-cycling class with 3 or more racers. Categories may be added, removed, or combined as needed based on participation (including non sanctioned “foot powered Trikes”). RR & Crit will be 1 heat with all categories unless deemed otherwise necessary. 
All USAC RULES APPLY. Helmets must be worn on any moving cycle. Drafting Bars required on handcycles.
